    Stem piece through bolt

    One of the 3 bolts in the stem piece goes through the part on the bow up to the piece on deck as shown in this picture.




    Does anyone know the size of this bolt and where I can purchase it McMaster Carr??

    3/8" X 6.5" with a counter sunk head. STOP nix this .... that's for an Electra.... sorry!

    Carl the bolt is...

    7-1/2" long end to end (it looks like it was originally cut to the length required so probably 8" long when purchased). The diameter is 3/8".

    This place has a silicon bronze version that could work.

    Mine was damaged so I just used a stainless carriage bolt. The square under the head fit nicely in the counter sink, you can hold the shank with a vice grip under the deck, cut to length and use a stainless acorn nut on the top.

    I was able to get online for a mere $21 including shipping a washer and
    Cap nut
