My condolences, Bill - I can only imagine how tough it must be. I've a friend/sailFar member who pointed out the auction to me. I told him that she looked like she had 'great bones', but he lives in Maine and cannot figure out how to get her across the continent on his budget.
( Getting Frank to bring her over on his way home was one idea raised, but we figured she would show up with a hot tub on her new Lido Deck, or as a trawler, if Frank had possession of her for very long... )

In all seriousness, though, I've known a few people who have bought their boats from Boat Angel, including an A-35 from my next-door slip, and they have all been appreciative of the deal they got, and to at least a small degree, knowledgeable about Classic Plastic, the Alberg 'design philosophy', so to speak. In my estimation, that means they are going to a home as best as could be hoped for, one where they are appreciated for what they are, and where they'll get care and use, and not abandoned or forgotten.
